Now entering his 10th season in the fly-fishing and guest ranch businesses, Sam is excited about the future of Yellowstone Valley Ranch.

Sam’s early career found him in guest-services at the historic HF Bar Guest Ranch in Saddlestring, Wyoming, and later as a Rock Creek Anglers fishing guide. Between fishing seasons he guided bird-hunters for pheasant and chukar in Ucross, Wyoming. In 2005, Sam was recruited to Off the Beaten Path in Bozeman, Montana where he designed and planned custom fly-fishing itineraries throughout Alaska, the Rocky Mountains, and Patagonia.

In 2007 Sam reunited with General Manager Paul Robertson, and joined the team at Yellowstone Valley Ranch. Sam brings diverse experience, enthusiasm, and a passion for delivering flawless hospitality and an unforgettable lodge experience.

In the winter months you’ll find Sam shivering in the duck-blind with his bird dog Jake, or making powder turns in the Bridger Mountains.
